It is a 2-day, 1-night tour. We leave East Boston early on Saturday (about 8 hours of travel) and return Sunday around 11:00 PM.
It includes round-trip transportation from Boston, 1 night hotel, Saturday lunch, a 4-hour guided tour with a local historian covering the White House, the Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial and the National Mall, plus free time for the Smithsonian museums (free admission).
Yes, all Smithsonian Institution museums on the National Mall have completely free admission. They include the National Air and Space Museum, National Museum of Natural History, National Museum of American History, among others.
The tour includes the exterior view of the White House. To enter the interior, a special request months in advance through a congressman is needed. This is not included in the tour.
We pass by the Pentagon exterior during the tour. Interior visits require special reservations and are not included.
The group may be larger than our NYC tours. If you prefer a more intimate tour, ask us about NYC VIP availability.
